We   rise   by  lifting   others

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Robert Ingersoll

Scholarship Funds

Scholarship funds are secured from Georgia tax payers who simply pre-pay a portion of their state income taxes by donating them to the Alyn Scholarship Fund.  ASF then uses those donations to award scholarships to eligible students.

There's no cost to donate as donors receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit.

Because we grant some degree of a scholarship to all eligible students, it takes a large number of donors to meet the demand.  Please support RTCA students and families by becoming an ASF donor.

The more money we have, the more we give.
Note: Donors can direct that their donation be used at a school(s) of their choosing; like RTCA.
However, they cannot, in any way, determine which particular student(s) receive a scholarship or the award amount that a student receives.

Why donate

Everyone works hard for their money and it's theirs to spend.  However, we're all required to pay a portion of our earnings in the form of taxes without any direct oversight as to where our money goes or who gets to benefit from it.  But the Education Tax Credit Program provides an alternative.

Georgia tax payers have an opportunity to support students at a GA private school of their choice using the same money they're otherwise going to pay in taxes.  Instead of sending their money to the politicians in Atlanta, they can redirect a portion of their taxes to ASF and directly support students at Robert Toombs Christian Academy.

It's your money.  It's your choice.

It's no secret that the cost of private education is shared among all families who participate.  Private schools don't get the luxury of tapping into local property tax revenues, SPLOST initiatives or state/federal funding.  So, the more students that attend a private school, the more families that share the cost which reduces the financial burden for everyone.  By using this scholarship program to make it more affordable for students to attend RTCA, the opportunity to grow the enrollment is very real which will lighten the load for all families and provide the school with additional financial resources to improve programs and facilities.

A rising tide lifts all boats.
                                                                                                                                                             President John F. Kennedy

Donating Makes Sense

You Have to Pay Them... Taxes

Donors aren't giving extra money out of their pocket.  It's just the money they're already required to pay in Georgia state income taxes.

So, why send your money to the politicians in Atlanta when you can support RTCA's students instead?
No Cost to Donate

Donors receive a
dollar-for-dollar tax credit for the amount of their donation.

For every dollar donated, a donor's state tax bill is reduced by that same amount.
Anyone Can Donate

Any Georgia taxpayer can donate a
portion of their taxes to this program.

Yes, even parents*

*Whether a parent donates or not has no   impact on their child's scholarship eligibility or award amount.
